WEB DESIGN After the research phase, I began with constructing lo-fi wireframes and prototyped the website design. The purpose of the website was to detail information about the event, list the vehicles with their car data, and also allows sellers to sign up for the event. This was also used as part of the user interviews to get their insights on how they used the website. Once the website design was locked in, I collaborated with engineers to hand-off the design and develop the live website.
CONCLUSION On August 5, 2017, our team hosted our first automotive event at the Vast office in Downtown Austin, Texas, attracting approximately 50 attendees. We showcased 12 vehicles from individual sellers listing their used cars online.
To foster a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, we incorporated elements designed to enhance the experience, such as offering ice cream and live music. Our goal was to create an environment where potential buyers felt comfortable, free from the pressures typically associated with the car-buying process.
The outcome of the event provided valuable insights into user interest, confirming that our approach resonated with attendees. We also observed a strong desire for future events, indicating a positive response to this experience-driven model. ✥
